On June 28th, 2009 (the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall Rebellion, which marked the birth of the Gay Rights Movement), the Fort Worth police and officers from the Texas State Beverage Commission, aggressively entered a Fort Worth, Texas gay bar, the Rainbow Lounge, resulting in multiple customer arrests and serious injuries. This event shocked, angered and saddened both the gay and straight communities around the world. It received national attention, including stories on CNN, and in the New York Times and L.A. Times, to name a few.
For the past two years I have been directing and producing a documentary film following the events after the raid and its impact on the victims, the Fort Worth community and the world.
You might recognize this project from posts I made as the production started. The film was slated to be finished in 2010, but due to the developing story and ever changing circumstances, it has been pushed back until Fall of 2011.
The film is nearly complete, and I am searching for instrumental compositions:
I especially need compositions that include one of the following moods:
-Build with tension
-Angry in tone (heavy metal/rock)
-Have simple piano, and/or strings
-Dark
-Suspense
-Simple instrumentation. Upbeat
-Conflict
Thank you.
