This is a short film about a genius named Dan, whose intelligence has come at the cost of nearly all of his social skills. One day a beautiful, out-going girl's forgotten phone leads on a path of self discovery.
My musical need is an orchestral soundtrack to amplify the mood of the film. The film does have sound but no audible dialogue between the characters. I'd like to have two themes, one for Dan which I imagine being a lonely solo piano. And one for the girl who forgets her phone, which I imagine being a love theme of sorts.
Obviously there are just my thoughts and right now I have temp music in the film by Thomas Newman. Dan's theme being a track from the Shawshank Redemption - Brooks' Theme. And for now the girl's theme is "whisper of a thrill" from the Meet Joe Black soundtrack. I fully understand an artist will have his or her take on the themes for the film. I look forward to working with someone on this project.
