Xij works in the thin region of space where
sound and light overlaps. An oddity; he is
both musician and digital artist, living a
purpose to create beautiful things.
His music: a wonderful swirling mass of notes, intricately woven into delicate patterns and then digitally obliterated in an instant.
Unusually wide musical influences make for a
compositional style varied and unique.
Unafraid to attempt new genres, and eager to
explore new sonic experiences, his style is
hard to pin down but definitely different.
Subtle jazz undertones may blend with 80s
synth grooves. Soaring classical strings may
be merged with walls of distorted guitar.
Lilting tribal drums may pulse underneath
thunderous microtonal drones. And if you
listen carefully enough you'll find all sorts of strange and absurd sounds hidden deeply in his mixes.
Look out for Xij, you might just be hearing
more of him.
