I am a college student living in Massachusetts, USA, and I compose music for many mediums, ranging from introspective solo piano to raging full orchestra. I understand and look forward to the collaborative process of film composition.
I graduated summa cum laude from a high school in North Carolina in 2009, and I am currently a first-year student at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA, where I am studying composition.
I have 5 years of experience in composition, in varying styles, and have won a number of national and international youth composition competitions, including the MENC Student Talent Search.
I have received a number of commissions from middle schools, high schools, and choirs, and I also wrote the score for the short film "Coffeehouse", presented at the 2008 Greensboro 48-Hour Film Project.
I have also performed in many ensembles, including choirs, solo piano/violin/clarinet, wind ensembles, orchestras, and jazz bands, and various venues, including at the MENC National Convention in Milwaukee, Canterbury Cathedral, and Notre-Dame de Paris.
In addition, I am an accomplished player on three instruments (violin, piano, and clarinet), so I can record those myself without the need to hire additional musicians.
I also own a composition software which can very realistically reproduce a number of orchestral sounds, which, combined with my own instrumental capabilities, can prove useful for films with low budgets.
