Bio from 82directive
Darius Holbert is a young, experienced composer based in LA. He studied composition and arranging at London's Royal Academy of Music and the University of North Texas. Darius has scored a number of international features and countless shorts. He has two award-winning films this year at film festivals like Sundance and Toronto. He has had his work in hit tv shows like Lost and Grey's Anatomy, and in numerous commercials and industrials.
Darius has produced for, toured with, and written for artists as varied as Everlast, Wu-Tang Clan, Sophie B. Hawkins and Bobby Brown (oh, the stories). He has been commissioned to compose operas and chamber works. Darius has appeared on tv shows like the Tonight Show, Fox Good Day and France's Canal +.
Darius has a successful side project 'dariustx' with 3 solo records to date. He is an award-winning, well trained multi-instrumentalist and vocalist.
But more than anything else, Darius is really just a down-to-earth guy from Texas who works really hard, who hates bragging about himself (he swears), and who loves his job.
Darius is a member of ASCAP and AFTRA and lives in Los Angeles.
