I was born and raised in Lake Arthur, LA, which is a small rice farming community in Southwest Louisiana. My brother and I and some friends started a band playing birthday parties and festivals when I was ten. Back then I played the Bass: "House of the Rising Sun," and other sixties. I attended music school at USL in Lafayette and took up the string Bass and Cello. Later took a Masters of Music Composition at LSU, the UCLA extension and USC in writing Music for Film and TV. I had the opportunity to write for Buddy Baker, Leonard Rosenmann, Elmer Bernstein, Jack Smalley, Larry Blank and other notables. It was a great experience writing, conducting to picture.
