I write classical concert music for orchestra, chorus, and/or small ensemble using high-quality sound libraries (Garritan). Each piece is professionally scored using Finale. Since my music spans a variety of moods and textures, I have checked most of the movie types -- most likely I have a piece (or a portion of a piece) which would fit with almost any genre, depending on the producer/director's taste.
There are currently over 90 works on my website including works for full orchestra, chamber orchestra, string orchestra, string quartet, chorus with piano, brass ensemble, organ solo pieces, flute solo, etc.
The fees or credits for use of my pieces in your film is on a case-by-case basis. You can download many of my pieces for free to evaluate them. Please be professional and contact me to discuss using a piece in a project before doing so! Some pieces may have previous commitments or publisher connections which I must honor. Thanks!
I generally will let students use my works at no charge. If your film is a commercial project, it depends on the nature and budget for the project. Email me, and let's discuss your project.
At this time I don't write custom music for movies (ie, synch'd to your visuals with SMPTE code), but this could change in the future.
