Jason Lim, guitarist, violinist, percussionist and composer/producer. Originally classically trained from age 9 in violin and piano he moved to the popular sector of the music industry and studied guitar and contemporary percussion for two years at Perth College in Scotland. With a history in heavy rock and metal bands and having gained a lot of valuable experience through playing at many well known venues in Scotland, he has produced two solo instrumental albums consisting of jazz fusion and progressive influenced styles. This development in playing style was accompanied by various employments from live jazz work in restaurants and guitar tutoring to freelance music work for a museum and other local projects.
More recently from August 2007 into 2008 he spend 2 semesters studying abroad at Monmouth College in Illinois, USA. He focused primarily on jazz performance/composition (within big band and combo settings), advanced classical music theory and classical composition for chamber and symphonic arranged orchestras.
Now with a higher national diploma in popular music performance, under the experience of the years study abroad in the United States, Lim has gained experience in audio recording and production using mixtures of analogue technology and a wide range of modern digital multi-track units used in conjunction with various sampling and recoding software programs.
With the goal to be as versatile a guitar player as possible he has built up a collection of many different instruments and amplifiers, finally settling for an assortment of 7 string models and vintage amplifiers for most live and studio use.
Along side playing guitar he has also built up experience as a guitar tech, performing basic repairs, modifications and set ups on various styles of instruments as well as building electric guitars from assorted parts.

I compose in a broad range of styles using a broad range of instrumental set ups.
I compose to many different themes, much of my music is darker rather than light so more dramatic sequences, horror and action would probably be best suited but that is my opinion and people will hear differently than I do when listening to my own work.
I can re-mix and modify of develop any of my works to suite particular needs if desired
