I like to use a mixture of repetative patterns (Philip Glass) with sustained chords (Tangerine Dream) and use simple piano motifs over this to give color. I can play different things, of course, but given little or no direction beforehand, I will usually start with these tools...

| I believe that, well done, most films of almost any can can have music underneath 70-85%... I work to ensure that each type of scene -transition, exposition, tension, revelation, etc - has appropriate underscore... This music is perfect for opening and credits, too!
