Young Flame”. This Bag of entertainment is packed with the entire true necessities of a true hip-hop mc. From the complex lyrics to rocking the crowd from left to right, Young Flame is an artist that everyone can enjoy.
Denzil “ Young Flame” Porter, was born on April 30th
1988, in the Bronx, New York. He began writing lyrics in elementary school. Influenced by the life around him, he wrote songs about his neighborhood, and his experiences and performed them in school lunchrooms, and on stage any time possible. He grew up in a neighborhood surrounded by drugs, violence, and witnessed his peers throw there lives away with bad decisions. Looking above the influence, Porter takes his bad, and good experiences, and converts them into music for all to listen, enjoy, and relate too.
In 2002, Porter recorded his first song at a classmate’s home recording studio. But traveling threw the harsh New York City weather everyday was a problem. This influenced Porter to build a studio of his own. In 2004, while attending Truman High School, Porter arranged a small house party to raise money for his home studio. Fortunately, this small party turned out bigger then expected. Not only did it pay for the studio, it also opened a new form of entertainment for Porter to look into. This was the beginning of Wreckhouse Studio, ran and engineered by Porter, and his partner Christopher “Claws” Stevens.
By 2005, WreckHouse Studio had evolved into a music group. Ran by Porter, and a few other local musicians, Wreckhouse is one of the most organized music groups in the north Bronx area. Not only is Wreckhouse known for there music, they are also known for throwing some of the biggest party’s and events in the Bronx. In 2006, Porter released the first Wreckhouse Mix Tape and in 2007 the second Mix tape was released. Both Mix Tapes showed a lot of talent and gave Porter and Wreckhouse the recognition they needed to become a household name in their community. Till this day, Porter is still bringing the music, and packing the clubs with his successful party’s. Currently working on his own solo project, Porter is “What the games been missing”.
