Creating sonic tension is no easy feat, but this is what koshari accomplishes musically. Described by one reviewer as “a musical ice storm,” koshari uses odd times, effects, dynamics and haunting lyrics to create music that is almost visual in nature. Upon every listen one may latch on to a different element as the parts seem to meld together – melodic female vocals intertwined with lush guitar and driving rhythms.
