David Harrison is a Liverpool based singer/songwriter. His debut album entitled 'hum' was released by the legendary Liverpool based 'indie' label Probe-Plus, run by the the saviour of the British indie music scene Geoff Davies. The album was greeted by critical aclaim and attracted the attention of BBC DJ's such as Jim Hawkins and Steve Barker.
Harrison's music has been likened to Nick Drake, Syd Barrett and Roy Harper in various reviews for the album, though his songs are varied, ranging from delicate acoustic love songs to more 'rockier' numbers. For example there's 'Beautiful Miss America' which reveals the sadness of the longing of love (though in reality is an anti-Iraq war song which personifies America as a beautiful woman who uses those around her). Other acoustic songs on the album are the mysterious and earthy 'Herbal Woman' and the enigmatic sounding 'Megan'. The asian sounding 'Maganda Khar' and 'Fallen Soldier' which features sitar, also add a psychedelic quality to the sound of the album.
These songs are balanced by more 'rockier' numbers such as the swirly psychedelic 'Luminous Circles' and the grungy 'She Loves the Sun'. Harrison's music would be perfect for film, his album filled with an array of songs which would fit a various range of scenes, the music working vividly with the scene, assisting to create the atmosphere which the film maker requires.

Because of the range of styles and types of songs on Harrison's album, his music could be adapted for almost any scene, for example, because of its lyrical content and musical style 'Beautiful Miss America' would be perfect for both a love scene or a war scene.
Harrison's music could be used for action sequences or nightclub scenes, dramas, horrors and romances alike.
