As a composer, arranger, and performer, Jason Allen Wick has scored soundtracks for several films (Spider's Web: A Pig's Tale, Greed, and Turn of the Screw among them), written cell phone game music, arranged numerous pieces for jazz ensembles, written for marching band, created podcast themes, and composed countless melodies in all styles.
Jason earned a Bachelor's of Music degree from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois and performed professionally in the Chicago Metropolitan area as a jazz trombonist.
Among Jason's many musical influences are the full, orchestral textures of Hans Zimmer and Danny Elfman, the lush and symphonic sounds of jazz composer Maria Schneider, and the energetic and spirited styles of church and gospel music.
Jason has also had the fortune of working, studying, and performing with many highly gifted musicians both during his time at DePaul and in the professional world. Among them are composer Gary Fry, composer/trombonist Slide Hampton, trumpeter/bandleader Bob Perna, and composer Bob Brookmeyer.
Jason Allen Wick has been a member of ASCAP since 1999 and has recently become a member of G.A.N.G. (Game Audio Network Guild).
