Nick Gathany aka Zyzzybalubah is a sonic explorer. A pioneer of the vast landscape of infinite possibility in recorded sound. Upon listening to an album, your mind will be treated to an unpredictable variety of genres, suprises, feelings, colors, flavors, flowers, skeletons, and experiments. ok ok ok. well i try my best to be as new, strange, and innovative as possible, anyway. enjoy!
Zyzzybalubah is only one of my many projects, and under this name, I create music with a balance of experimental/psychedelic/avant garde vs. catchy melodies/pop sensibility.
My albums contain many very score-like qualities, though always on the cutting edge of bizarre and original! I have recorded an entire 70-minutes of original halloween music that shows many of my capabilities, ecspecially in darker film music.
