Jon Ware is an award winning composer and music producer producing work for film, television and interactive media.
After several years of working in the music industry as a writer, musician, performer and producer, he began moving towards creating music for visuals in 1990 when several of his compositions were featured in the BBC drama series The Paradise Club (with Leslie Granthem and Don Henderson).
He signed to Sony Music Publishing in the early 90’s as an exclusive composer and songwriter, which enabled him to further develop his composing/producing style and approach, and during this time he worked on varied music and media projects including collaborations with acclaimed film composer Mark Thomas (The Magic Roundabout Movie / Dog Soldiers / Agent Cody Banks II), Davey Spillane (Riverdance) and Murray Head (Chess).
In 1999, Jon moved to Amsterdam when he was offered a position as Senior Music Producer & Creative Director for a leading European music house where he supervised and produced (and in many cases co-composed) music for over 150 television programs, news theme packages, network branding designs and TV advertising projects with his own diverse and specialized international team of composers, artists and sound designers.
In order to develop further and to follow on from the success he achieved in this role, Jon returned to the UK in 2004 where he co-founded a new media music house "1-Louder Music" which has continued to develop an impressive portfolio of work and has gained a highly regarded creative reputation within the international media community.
In his recent work as a composer, Jon composed the music and lyrics for an international Canon TV and Cinema campaign (featuring the AISR Children’s Choir) for which he received a D&AD 2006 - in-book selection for “Best Use of Music”, an ADCN nomination for “Best Music”, a Finalist certificate in the Best Original Music Score category at the New York Festivals Awards, and was one of 4 Nominees for Best Music at the 2006 VDW Awards, as well as several campaign awards including a Silver Epica Award and a Silver Euro Effie Award.
In his collaborative work as a producer, he has worked on numerous projects including more recently music for acclaimed director Noam Murro on a series of commercials for Olympus that received a string of international awards including a Gold at the Cannes Lions Awards, a Silver at the Clio Awards in Miami and 1st Prize at the London International Advertising Awards.
Other credits include work for Disney, ITV, SKY, MTV, MBC, Discovery Channel, National Geographic, Puma, Audi, BMW, Siemens and Nike.
Jon has worked on soundtracks for prominent directors including Wim Wenders, Tony Kaye and Andy Margetson.
