The sounds contained in Theory in Motion's tracks originate in their musical imagination. They are a collage of hard-hitting bass lines, virtuoso drum programming, dark and gritty vocals all mixed with infectious melodies and hook-laden lyrics.
Founded in 2003, Theory in Motion is a duet: Danny James and Dillin Quent. Danny James has been writing electronic music and DJing since 1997, and has studied Audio Production at the Seattle Art Institute. Dillin Quent has been DJing since 1997, writing music since 2000, has over 10 years of classical piano training and has studied music theory at Seattle Pacific University. Both reside in Seattle, Washington where they work full time creating, recording and performing their music at venues across the Pacific Northwest.
