Starting where the Velvet Underground left off, the music of Brooklyn rockers Liza & the WonderWheels lands someplace in between Jefferson Airplane and the Pretenders. Reviewers have described songs as "almost reggae in a Blondie kinda way," "a blend of jangly guitar and some wild lead parts in a pretty savage broadside against the corporate media," and "The album's opening track throws down the gauntlet: something of a come-on, the vocals smolder and burn all the way through."
