Being asked to compose his first music piece by a teacher in the 3rd grade at Holt elementary, Quandrix L. Blackburn never got the chance to unlock his musical gift until his late high school years, because of some unfortunate events. Q.L.B (Saint Black) story is very unique unlike most artist who started their music career from an inspired rapper or singer they saw on TV. Q.L.B (Saint Black) on the other hand has been gifted from child birth with liberal arts. His Grandfather Mr. Crummie wrote film scripts and composed music which he never got to finish because of family and other issues, but that dream still lives with Q.L.B. Growing up in the church since the age of 9, Saint Black slowly discovered a passion to please God, but also was well known in the streets of Northport growing up around gangsters, dope dealers and other negative stuff that surrounds the black belt (alabama). That experience has shaped Saint Black into the rapper, producer, film and fashion designer that he will always be. Being loyal to his hood and folks that he grow up with, has caused a bold young man to fight for respect and money since Alabama isn't known for hiphop or anything. From the church to the streets from the college campus where he graduated from (UA), Saint Black will always impact and challenge, no matter who dislikes it.
