Generally what the industry considers symphonic electronica. We tend to favour piano, guitar or synthesized sounds for melodies, deep string and other synthesized sounds for harmonies. Tends to be mournful, and has a lot of pensive, or flowing...well cinematic qualities. Some of our work also has a progressive electronic vibe where we'll blend symphonic qualities with fast drum and bass. While interesting, probably not the work we'll shop out to film makers.
The second sample "Pipe Dream - End Credits" is obviously the end credits to the short film Pipe Dream, for which we were runners up in this year's "Film Versus Music" contest. As the end credit package, it incorporates themes throughout the film. And obviously is already licensed.
