I have experience composing and performing a wide variety of music. Background: Not-quite-graduated theory/composition major, played in rock/jazz/pop bands, acoustic/electric songwriter, I played or programmed most (many...) instruments on my CD. Senior member of Balinese gamelan orchestra. I can and do compose knowledgeably in many diverse genres: celtic, early 20th century chamber/orchestral, 'nordic' style cool jazz, many flavors of rock (tend toward British/Celtic), frantic or serene gamelan (from Indonesia), middle eastern, others. Specialty as performer/soloist: mandolin - again, in many styles. I can use my large array of sampled instruments (AND breathe life into them!) or write detailed charts for other musicians.

| My own style fits best in the 'movie' I compose as a page of (often dark) lyrics! But for the scene from the movie that *your* passion made, I will endevour to 'get inside' that inspiration, and carve out the original music that suits it best. It might sound like my familiar territory, or something you'd associate with another composer - but it will breathe with the images on the screen. Yes, some will say, he's a dilletante; versatility lacks passion. But that's not me. Please have a listen.
