Alan has been writing/teaching music for many years and now writes original music suitable for media applications. He is a music graduate (BA Hons), qualified music teacher (PGCE), pianist, and holds a diploma in media composition from the Film Music Institute of Los Angeles. He has also been a gigging keyboard player in several bands.
Recent credits include soundtracks to 3 UK feature films: 'The Spell', 'Movies' and award-winning film 'A Mind of Her Own'; a character piece for a US movie called 'Chaos'; a US TV documentary: 'One Person Can Make a Difference'; and a US animated short: 'Fish-O-Tron'.
Alan can provide music in any style, especially when sound needs to be merged with picture. Classical, electronic/dance, ethnic, jazz and pastiche are all catered for. He produces original music that meets the needs of his clients and specialises in remote working with demos and delivery via dedicated client webpages. Collaboration with clients is a priority and this method of working allows frequent changes to be made to the music whilst a project is in development.
