I compose and record primarily "moody instrumentals" in a variety of styles and genres, including ambient, New Age, hard guitar rock, techo pop, contemporary alternative. Main instruments are guitar and/or synthesizer. I also have a few vocal songs, primarily in a folk or folk/country vein.
Visit my website for a good sampling of my work. I also have other material which is not at the website, so please ask if you have any specific requests.
My MySpace page is http://www.myspace.com/edperronemusic
I grew up and learned to play music during the '60s and '70s, so many of my influences and strongest sensibilities arise from artists of that period: Beatles, Doors, Yes, Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead, Eagles, Santana, Hendrix, Pink Floyd, etc. -- just to give you an idea of where I come from.
My 2006 EP Holy Wars contains my most socially conscious material in years. The four songs on the EP deal primarily with the violence, repression, and intolerance generated when religion assumes control of government, yet end on a decidedly optimistic note.
I am a BMI-affiliated writer for performing rights purposes.

"Inner Spaces" is a spooky ambient textural piece that would work great in a horror scene -- in the woods at night with creepy-crawlies just beyond the camera's view.
"Nowhere to Run" - a foot-chase scene through the rain-soaked downtown streets of a big city.
