Some filmmaker reviews include:
“What makes Douglas stand out is that he’s an excellent storyteller. He truly immersed himself in the material, scoring not what we see but what we feel. The result was an incredible score that adds tremendous production value to the film. It’s a bonus that he happens to be a nice guy and a great collaborator.” -- Brad Kean, Entity: Nine
“Doug's understanding of story, character and visuals were as beneficial to the film as were his musical instincts. His light and elegant touch allowed the music to become such an organic part of the narrative, it's hard to imagine the film without it.” -- Luke Hutton, Director, Shelter
Major credits include: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, The Skulls 3, Sunday Paper p.2b, The Jackalope, The Skulls II, Duck Dodgers, Miracles, H.H.Holmes -- the full list of credits are on IMDb at http://us.imdb.com/name/nm1270276/

My project studio on the west side of LA includes six custom PCs and two dual-processor Macs utilizing the latest in orchestral and synth libraries with capability of delivering finished soundtracks or preview mockups for projects ultimately scored with live musicians. I can sweeten sample orchestra tracks with live players in-house, which always makes the score richer than samples alone.
Recording areas include a live room with a piano and space for up to five players. Four go-bos (moveable walls) allow me to create the right space for players and to choose from a reflective surface or an absorptive one, depending on the desired sound for the recording. The studio has a range of mics and pre-amps. A recording engineer and additional microphones are available for in-house recording dates.
For live recordings of larger bands, I've built relationships with professional musicians, recording studios, engineers, editors and contractors and am able to pull together teams appropriate to your specific film or television project and budget.
