My music ranges depending on what I see before me, which is why I want to work with films. I love a good thriller scene where my music adds to the tension and builds the pounding pulse of the scene into a climax.
I also like to be the background, loud enough to be heard, but soft enough not to overpower the scene. I have an appreciation for music’s subtle contributions to the atmosphere in one hand, and then I love the scene that’s more like a music video, with the song as the star.
Everything Thomas Newman has done has influenced me deeply. I’m looking to build on my recent experience in writing and performing the score for an award-winning short movie into a full time career path.
