The Sharp Things is a 10+ piece chamber-pop ensemble playing the songs of NYC-based composer Perry Serpa. Music is grand, melodic, emotional, romantic, melancholy. Inspired by Burt Bacharach, Jimmy Webb, Lee Hazelwood, Brian Wilson, Scott Walker. Similar to Divine Comedy, Lambchop, Belle and Sebastian, Tindersticks, American Music Club. Genre influences include Õ60s & Õ70s AM radio, Celtic folk, gospel, Britpop, Memphis R&B and The Salvation Army. Debut CD, 'Here Comes The Sharp Things,' available now from major online retailers or via www.thesharpthings.com. Will license recorded songs or produce new commissioned work. Have own studio.
