From the streets of East N.Y. Brooklyn in NYC, a D.J. all his life aspiring to write and produce his own music and after a couple of stints with other parties James "Shad$w" Carter finally ventured out on his own building his own music studio with hopes of becoming a hiphop/rap producer/writer/artist so then founding his sol productions in 2001. While employed by Bt/Syntegra NY (a telecommunications company) he became friends and partnered up with co-worker Melvin "The Hunter" Hunter. Melvin Hunter also from the streets of Brooklyn (St.Johns Place) immediately became his number one rapper. together they formed “Shad$w & The Hunter” and bring messages of life and their lives whether serious or funny to the hiphop/rap game with tracks whose sole purpose is to make you dance !! Shad$w also produces,writes and arranges his own instrumental music.

| My song "Believe" would be perfect in a scene in the hood where an individual is on their fire escape late at night when all is quiet and they are alone all you can hear is the traffic below going by. They are in deep thought wondering will life ever get better for themselves and they are searching for something to believe in and hold onto.
