Rob was born and raised in Southern California, and developed an affinity for film music at an early age. Although he had no formal training as a child, he spent hours analyzing the scores of John Williams and how they worked in collaboration with film. Rob picked up the guitar at age 13, and spent the next five years embracing the instrument and learning how to write. In 1997, after years of collaborating with other live musicians, Rob relocated to Denver where he found his love for composition reborn at a local university. Rob took private classical guitar and voice lessons, and began to teach himself piano in preparation for a career as a composer under the tutelage of composer and Professor Kevin Kennedy of the Lamont School of Music at DU. After a year at the University of New Mexico in 2002, Rob made his way back to California with a transfer into California State University Northridge. Rob's first full year of business in 2006 yielded 16 short films, including additional music that appeared in the nationally syndicated PBS show Roadtrip Nation, and a festival submission in the Delaware Valley Film Festival for the short film "Breathing Underwater." Rob capped off the year with an award for Best Short Film in the Destricted Competition on Shootingpeople.com in November for the short film "Footsie." In 2007, he scored "3 Down," which was screened at both the Phoenix Film Festival and the Women's International Film Festival in Miami. Also, Rob scored the short film Bag for EJ Pictures as a submission to the 168 Hour Film Festival, and the film took home the prize for Best Comedy. He also provided music for the film Ride, El, which is screening at the Austin Women's Film Festival in April.

Rob is currently working with Lifeline Entertainment on the thriller "Amhurst" and with writer/director Angelo Bell and 319 Productions, now in preproduction for the feature film "Broken Hearts Club."
