National Recording and Performing Artist, Music Producer and Composer, Matt Diehm, has been a touring musician since 1994. Matt cut his teeth in the hardened mid-90’s east coast punk scene and eventually breaking through the very competitive Los Angeles hard rock scene of the 2000’s. Currently his band, By All Means Necessary just finished a new record with Billy Mims one of famed producers, Neal Avaron & Rick Rubin’s, engineers and this summer they completed their fourth national tour. Having a classical musical background and orchestral composition training, his musical language is vast and diverse allowing for very critical decision making and compositional creativity. His professional experience began by scoring independent films and writing, remixing, and producing dance music for world-renowned Electronic artists. Matt’s ability to meld styles and continuously evolve led to success in composition in the visual arts, where he completed commercials for Target, Toyota, Hyundai, U.S. Army, Folgers and Game Boy, and garnered recognition from Cue Magazine as a featured composer for his work with the MTV Video Music Awards in 2003. Matt has also been featured as the “rock singer/screamer” on the American Idol vocal training DVD with legendary celebrity vocal coach Deborah Byrd. Matt has worked with numerous pop and rock artists, as well as collaborated and apprenticed with multiple platinum songwriters, producers and engineers. Currently Matt is also the executive music director for StarWorks Productions where he composed, arranged and produced all the music for their new TV & DVD series “The Rockimals” at Paramount Recording Studios.
