Jonny Mernagh is a singer songwriter from Swansea , Wales in the U.K .
Jonny fronted a couple of bands in his earlier days , and managed to reach the semi finals of the "Band of Britain" contest .
Jonny decided to go it alone and perform as a solo artist , his demo "no mans land" was used for a canadian compilation disc for up and coming artists and his track "lost" was used on an indie film in the U.S "strange isnt it" . These songs were a product from his first self recorded and produced album .
His album was a success and on myspace sold over 500 copies in the first week .
Jonny was invited to play "Londons calling 2007" a showcase event due to his growing status in the U.K .
In 2008 "No mans land" was the winner in "Song of the year" March category , pop . His song reached the grand final . As well as this achievement he also managed four semi final entries in the UKSC contest .
In 2009 Jonny's song "Run to the sun" reached the Final of the UKSC CONTEST
Jonny continues to write for film and tv via a music publisher in the uk . He has recently had 12 of his songs selected for a tv show in Las Vegas .
