Joe Norosavage
Biography
For over 30 years Joe Norosavage has established himself as a working studio musician and composer in the New York metro area.
Joe was born in and resides in New Jersey. Like many children, Joe was given lessons on the piano. He also continued his study of theory and harmony privately in New York City and eventually found steady work touring with Jesus Christ Superstar.
As time progressed, people began to notice that Joe had an ability to arrange, be creative musically and also had a knack for sound design and the use of synthesizers to paint musical colors which led him into the studio circuit.
Joe went on to record with noted artist and groups including Gladys Knight, Roy Ayers, Grover Washington and dance hit stars Shannon, George La Mond and the Cover Girls with producer Mark Liggett. He also worked for Grammy winning writer, producer, arranger Tony Camillo where his arranging and compositional skills were further refined while doing movie soundtracks, jingles and countless records.
He also worked extensively with Michael Bruce, the guitarist and song writer for Alice Cooper. In addition to writing for various projects including Xerox and a children’s show called Bloopie’s Buddy’s with Jonathan Winters, it was at this time Joe began to write for New York Soap Operas and developed an appetite for composing for TV and film.
Whatever your personal taste, Joe is stylistically consistent with a range of styles and influences. Joe’s sound can be placed in the contemporary lush and warm tonal complexity geared for drama, suspense, climax and intimacy with melodic sense and contemporary design and structure.
