Writer / performer Daniel Hewson is the son of writer / producer Richard Anthony Hewson, who worked with The Beatles, Herbie Hancock, Art Garfunkel and Diana Ross.
After studying music at Oxford University where he won won a prize for his String Quartet, he moved to London, co-founded dance act The Beat Foundation, remixing and writing tracks that were championed by top DJ's such as Sasha and Digweed.
Daniel then wrote and arranged for Groove Armada, including their remix of the Madonna single "Music". He co-wrote the track "Edge Hill", which was featured on sountrack to the motion picture "Tomb Raider" (Paramount).
In addition to this, Daniel is a busy freelance pianist / trombonist and has worked with Stomp and Nigel Kennedy, performed in the Royal Albert Hall and the Sydney Opera House and conducted at Abbey Road Studios.
