I'm a composer (film, tv, theater, dance), songwriter (eclectic, children's, etc) and multi-instrumental musician (broadway, grammy award winning recordings.) I've completed my fourth feature length film score and have released 12 albums of my songs / music / scores (with several more releases gearing up.) I've had success with placement of my songs / music in films and on cable networks around the globe.
My first three feature film score have been picked up / distributed. Everything's Jake starring Ernie Hudson, was picked up by Warner Brothers and is now on Netflix. My third feature length score, Eavesdrop, has 82 minutes of classical music with some jazz - a magnum opus (in a 93 minute film) - is on Netlflix / Itunes. Lucky Days, my other feature starring Rip Torn and his daughter Angelica, had an art house theatrical release (including an NYC premiere mentioned in NYTimes & Page 6) with DVD, Netflix, and Itunes. Variety says Lucky Days "should have a healthy, cultish afterlife" with "Christopher North's music a notable asset." All of these soundtracks are on cdbaby/itunes.
There are many examples on my site as well as my catalog on itunes. I have scored countless (and I mean COUNTLESS) shorts, a video game and collaborated a great deal (choreographers, playwrights, poets, photographers, etc.) Working with others brings out my best work. I live in Brooklyn NY, my "day job" is as a NYC professional musician / multi-instrumentalist (Broadway, Grammy Award winning recordings.) Many of the tracks you'll hear below feature yours truly on all the instruments. I have a recording studio and friendships / connections to world class musicians (Grammy WInners and Noms.) These same musicians can be heard on Oscar winning scores.
Also, it's worth mentioning I'm very fast, having composed, performed and recorded 34 minutes of music (with a couple of drafts) for 2 short films and a play in 10 days in June 2010. I'm prolific, diverse and orgainzed. I'm in the process of cataloging over 800 pieces of music for my one stop music licensing website.
