Aoede (A-E-D) in Greek mythology was the first "muse of song." And I, Lisa Sniderman, singer-songwriter for Aoede, chose this name both to inspire you and to remember to continually be inspired...I draw inspiration from my own life experiences and many muses and aspire to transfer this inspiration to you. When you listen to my songs, expect compelling stories of love, loss and longing-intended to take you, shake you and wake you. It's About YOU and your connection to me-in ways that make you feel and experience those parts of yourself you may have forgotten about. Maybe after listening, you are inspired to live life a little more fully or feel something.
Propelled by our desire to connect with audiences, Aoede formed an indie *pop rock* band in 2005 comprised of San Francisco trio Lisa Sniderman, David Sands, and John Walden.
Aoede was crowned Womens Radio's Artist of the Year 2008, and Push and Pull-Aoede's 2008 release-was included in Womens Radio's Top Albums of the Decade. Aoede's songs have been featured on American Airlines, compilation cds and radio stations nationwide.

What people are saying about Push and Pull-Aoede's new album: pushes the envelope, pulls you in, pulls at your heart...
".....as I find myself being whisked away by the sounds of Aoede I need a copy of Push and Pull in the house, in the vehicle, in the studio and in my head all the time. I've added this gem to my own personal favorite collection, but then you will too once you've treated your ears to this masterpiece! Just remember....A-E-D!" (KRIM Radio)
"Bringing pop worthy hooks together with alt rock instrumentation and smoky production, Push and Pull, Aoede’s new release (May 2008), stays with you long after the first listen...demanding more spins and closer attention...an unforgettable emotional listening experience..." (Massive Music)
"multi-faceted and intensely engaging...Sniderman's vocal is electrifying" (Luna Kafe record review)
"personal, sweet indie pop...the perfect soundtrack for an autumn road trip" (Justin Winokur, JWC Artist Group)
"Aoede is the rare breed of artist who can shatter the pre-conceived notions and prejudices of the audience, enrapturing the crowd." (Massive Music)

| As a singer/songwriter, Aoede's music probably works best as an opening or closing song, or possibly during moments of a film that require no dialog between actors. This usually includes montages, songs on the radio, etc. I especially enjoyed the sound of Annalis, it would work well within the frame of montage sequence. (0000-00-00) |
